Medical masks are generally composed of three layers, the inner and outer layers are non-woven fabrics, and the middle layer is meltblown fabric.

Non-woven fabric: After the polymer has been extruded and stretched to form continuous filaments, the filaments are laid into a web, and the fiber web is then subjected to self-bonding, thermal bonding, chemical bonding or mechanical strengthening methods to let fiber web becomes a non-woven  fabric.

Meltblown fabric: Meltblown fabric uses polypropylene as the main raw  material, and the fiber diameter can reach 0.5-10 microns. The ultra-fine fibers with unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, so that the meltblown fabric has good filtration properties, shielding properties, thermal insulation and oil absorption.

At present, the inner and outer layers of medical surgical masks and disposable medical ordinary masks are composed of non-woven fabrics. The colors of the non-woven fabrics are white, blue, and pink. Non-woven fabrics have low filtration efficiency, and density is related to the weight. The key to the filtration efficiency of medical surgical masks and disposable medical ordinary masks lies in the meltblown fabric. The quality of melt-blown fabric is the core of ordinary medical masks and surgical masks.

The attached materials of the mask are a nose clip and a mask belt, and the nose clip has a metal material and a plastic; the mask belt is a polymer elastic material, which is of a tether type and a hanging ear type.
