At two o'clock in the afternoon on May 23rd, it was raining heavily in Pudong district, Shanghai. However, the rain began to bucket down but did not stop a group of people who come from the "All Directions Hall" reading club. They were in kindred spirits and gathered together to pursue their own poems and distant mental state after work.
In my opinion, poetry and the distance is a kind of spiritual enjoyment that escapes reality. It is our lover who keeps us dreaming but could not to be touched. It has no any arrogance and no prejudice. Anyone can be close to it and dance with it. Above all, we can enjoy the process of the baptism of our soul. Moreover, it is mysterious, incapable of grasping and undescribable. It involves people who are willing to seek for life and approach again and again, and to spend their life on the road of pursuing it.
The theme of the first book club activity was "What attitude shall we live in?" Such a theme related to life attitude fits well with our intention to set up a book club. Everyone brought the books they read recently, and shared the direction and strength of life they found in the books. There are more interesting souls, and the burst of joy is beyond words.
The status of Luna's life is to pursue health, happiness and freedom. She longs to live toward the sun. A girl who is passionate about her life and has a wide range of hobbies. What she brought is "A Brief History of Time". She put herself in the vast universe and she felt that she is insignificant at this time. She imaged that she transformed into the universe and breathe with it together.
Chole wanted to be like the heroine in "Gone with the Wind", who is optimistic, confident, and dare to love and hate!
Rebecca hopes that she can always maintain her original intention and stick to herself.
Alice sought resonance from "The Kite Chaser", hoping that she will become independent like Amir's father and can bring the warmth and guidance to others like Rahim Khan.
Nadia recommended "The Little Prince" and "Being Alive". The former symbolizes ideals and the latter represents reality. She hopes that she can maintain a childhood curiosity like the little prince and still choose to move forward bravely and be able to reconcile with life like Fugui when she faces the suffering in life.
The youngest children in the audience bravely stood on the stage for sharing what he considered the most important attitude to life at his age with everyone. There should have a burst of applaud for his courage.

Villa highly recommended "Little Paris Bookstore", she hopes she will be a person who is warm and poetic. She said that books can bring her comfort, and reading is just the way to soothe the soul.
